Military Consumer Awareness Month

For Military Consumer Awareness Month, Financial Readiness would like to share a few tips to keeping you and your information safe and protected.

  1. Talk to an Army Community Service Financial Counselor today and learn how to protect yourself and your family.  ACS Financial Readiness, (706) 791-3579
  2. Never give your Social Security Number to anyone who contacts you over the phone, email or social media. To learn more about identity theft or report scams or frauds, visit www.ftc.gov.
  3. Imposter scams often come by illegal robocall. Consider protecting yourself by using a call blocking app or device on your phone. To learn more, visit www.ftc.gov.
  4. Scammers use phishing techniques to steal your money and your identity. Talk to an Army Community Service Financial Counselor today and learn how to protect yourself and your family.  ACS Financial Readiness, (706) 791-3579.
  5. The IRS or Social Security office will NEVER call you to threaten you or tell you to send money. Those are scams, every time.  To learn more about identity theft or report scams or frauds, visit www.ftc.gov.
